    South Korean swimming star Park Tae-Hwan graduated from university Monday and is heading to graduate school to follow his dream of becoming a professor in PE even as he targets more Olympic glory. He managed an impressive win in the 1500 freestyle at the NSW State Open Championships this past weekend, breaking the South Korean national record with a time of 14:47.38, but says he will not compete in this event at the London Olympics, aiming instead for a world record in the 400 freestyle and a good show in the 200.     “The Wayne State University swimming and diving teams successfully defended their GLIAC Championships last week in Jenison, Mich. The women’s team won its third straight and sixth in seven years, while the men’s team captured its seventh championship in the last decade.” All shot on GoPro HD Hero 2.     Young gun Óli Mortensen from Havnar Svimjifelag became the 2nd Faroese swimmer ever to swim under 16 minutes in the 1500 meter (short course) freestyle, when he managed a 15:53.39 at the Ægir meet in Klaksvík this weekend. Born in 1996, the first Faroese swimmer ever was Pál Joensen (1990) with a 15:56.21 in 2007.

    I stand corrected – the world is not completely cruel, as Matt Grevers’ proposal to Annie Chandler totally outclassed Tom Daley and Team GB’s “Sexy and I know it” LMFAO lip sync video (also) in viral rating. 900.000+ views and counting to Grevers, after only two days on YouTube, compared to Daley’s 480.000+ views. Phew!

    Chad Ho became the first man to win three Midmar Mile titles in a row on Sunday, while Keri-Anne Payne clinched a record seventh successive crown in the women’s race in Howick, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
