  • Dave Salo is a coaching LEGEND and we are honored to be able to have him on our show this week! Dave was the head coach at the University of Southern California from 2006 to early 2020 when he stepped down from his post to turn his attention to his Olympic athletes who were (and still are) preparing for the Tokyo Games. Dave has coached numerous gold medalists whether it be at the NCAA, International, or Olympic level and his list of accolades seem to get longer every year.   • The first Chinese national swimming competition ever held on New Year’s Day is taking place in Shijiazhuang, capital of north China’s Hebei Province. Olympic Games gold medalist and world champion Ye Shiwen, men’s 100m breaststroke Asian record holder Yan Zibei and a number of other renowned swimmers are expected to join in the competition. In action today are 50m and 400m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 200m butterfly, and 200m individual medley finals.
