CC photo #122: San Marino swimmers on a viking trip in Iceland
The San Marino team outside Fjörugarðurinn in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, where we had quite an enjoyable ‘viking meal’, Saturday night at the “2nd Swimming Championships of the Small States of Europeâ€, June 12-13, 2010.
A recommended place, where you can be sworn in as viking and everything. One very special moment was these (very not viking)Â Harvard Din & Tonics who suddenly swarmed the place.

British Olympic ban on drugs cheats overturned
Former drugs cheats, including Dwain Chambers, will be eligible to compete for Britain at London 2012 after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) overturned the British Olympic Association’s lifetime ban on offenders. WADA had challenged the ban at a hearing in London last month claiming its controversial anti-doping bylaw non-compliant with its code, which the BOA are signatories too. This followed a CAS decision last October that the International Olympic Committee’s controversial Rule 45 – or “Osaka Rule” – banning convicted drugs cheats from future Games was illegal. A video from the “Jóansøkusvimjingin 2011”
Just something I put together last night, from the Drelnes – Tvøroyri open water swim here in the Faroe Islands, last summer. Bartal told me to just cut short clips out and order them chronologically (which I have approximately done), and then choose a song from the vast YouTube audio collection that fitted in. Well, that song totally changes the mood that I had intended, but there you go :-)

Debrecen 2012: “Two years work in three months”
On April 11, the Debrecen 2012 organizing committee was approximately halfway through the preparations for the European Championships, or as director of the committee Mr Mihály Orendi puts it: “They usually award a European Championships to a host country two years prior to the beginning of the event. Two years – 730 days. We have had 96 days all in all, which is 13,13 % of the time. This is like a movie is fast forward mode. Which means we have completed a work of one and a half year so far. However, there is still a lot to to ahead of us.” Read more here on musz.hu.
