    A 17-year-old Georgian girl plans to swim across the Dardanelles with her hands and feet tied on August 30, the ten-year anniversary of Henry Kuprashvili carrying out the feat in 2002, setting a Guinness record. Read dfwatch.net (and thanks Dato!)

  • Body of missing freediver Rebecca Weiss found

    The body of freediver Rebecca Weiss, who went missing in California last weekend while on a dive, has been found. She was discovered floating in the water off the coast of the Palos Verdes Peninsula late Saturday, KNBC-TV reported. She apparently drowned, although the cause of death has not been officially determined. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, according to KTLA-TV. Read more here on NY Daily News

    Though family members have cast suspicion about how she died, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives have been careful not to suggest any foul play in connection to the case. Read L.A. Now
