According to a woman, her 33-year-old husband, who had access to several firearms, made threats to harm himself.

Due to the incident being so close to the Lockport Highschool that happened to be hosting a swim meet, the building had to be evacuated.

  • “Aside from learning that female anglerfish don’t really appreciate males latching on and transmuting into an obnoxious pair of gonads, shrimp, apparently, can be done in by their own overwhelming vanity. To tell the truth, we never saw shrimp as the kind of animal that would take pride in its appearance.” Read Geekosystem

With his waders on, Eicher stepped out onto the ice, taking a chance on every step. “I just wasn’t thinking. I just wanted to try to rescue the friend of the family,” he said. “It broke and I fell in, and I was probably about 3 and 1/2 feet deep.” He finally reached Bart who had spent an hour and 1/2 in the frigid water. Eicher held the dog close before they were rescued.

  • This outdoor jacuzzi is part of the Igloo Village, ‘Iglu-Dorf‘, in Zermatt. Guests sleep at an altitude of 2,727 meters (8.946 ft) at the Gornergrat, right next to Switzerland’s most famous mountain, the mighty Matterhorn. The Igloo village typically opens up in December with accommodations for up to 40 overnight guests (although it can handle more for dining and partying during the evening). The coolest feature is surely the two outdoor jacuzzis set directly in the snow covered landscape. Imagine the views you could soak in!

    1. Lochte wins five Olympic medals

Swimmer Ryan Lochte had a somewhat disappointing London Olympics based on his high expectations. But the Spruce Creek product still enhanced his reputation as one of the sport’s all-time greats, winning five medals, including two gold — in the grueling 400 individual medley and the 4×200 freestyle relay.

Lochte had an epic U.S. Olympic Trials showdown with Michael Phelps, winning two events and finishing second in two others. But it was Phelps, again, who shined brightest at the Olympics, winning four more gold medals and two silver for a total of 22 medals in his remarkable career.

Lochte, meanwhile, upped his career Olympic medal count to 11 — five gold — from his three Olympic appearances. He’s planning one more Olympic foray at Rio de Janeiro in four years.

After taking some time off to enjoy his growing fame and dabbling in some acting, Lochte got his next four-year interval off to a rousing start — winning six gold medals, a silver and a bronze at the Short Course World Championships in Istanbul earlier this month. He set world records in the 100 and 200 IM and was named Male Swimmer of the Meet.
