    ‘The world’s first underwater sword swallow’ was performed on May 9, 2006 at Manly Ocean World Aquarium -Sydney Australia, by The Space Cowboy in a tank full of sharks. Awesome!

    Some of New Zealand’s greatest swimmers are celebrating a new world record – not just breaking the old mark, but annihilating it. Double Olympic champion Danyon Loader came out of retirement for the occasion, while Commonwealth Games medalist John Steel entertained as much of the Millenium Institute pool as in it. Former Commonwealth Games champion Moss Burmester was first out of the blocks for the North Shore club team as they embarked on the 100x25m journey, his 11.5s well inside the pace needed to break the record of just over 30 minutes, set in Sweden 30 years ago.     The complete list over world records set in Berliner Bäder-Betriebe: Europa-Sportpark (SSE), since it was opened in 1999, as seen in the entrance hall. 2002 seems to have been a really good year, plus of course the super-suited years of 2008 and 2009.
