So the rules were that the team won that caught the largest number of (intact) water balloons. One girl managed to catch 4 balloons, several kids caught 2 or 1, and most of them got wet. The kid standing is our youngest son choosing to stand on the non-business end of the catapult, the girl in red our younger daughter taking a break from coaching. The adult loading the catapult is Eyðun Húsgarð, chairman of Tórshavn Swim Club and member of the Faroese Swimming Association board.

“Swimming World’s website SwimmingWorld.com has been under an extremely heavy denial of service attack since last evening. On top of working with our server host to get the problem solved, we are in contact with the FBI and are working on filing a complaint regarding this attack on our company, and on the swimming community at large. SwimmingWorld.TV has not been attacked, and all the videos that you love to watch are still available. Head over to SwimmingWorld.TV for all of this great content, including the Morning Swim Show.”

“I had the most amazing/crazy proposal on the 21st! I was surprised by a song written by my fiancé. He sang it atop a rock surrounded by the ocean waters at Laguna beach. As soon as he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, a HUGE wave completely engulfed us and washed us up to shore. Soaking wet, I quickly jumped up and said YES!”

As the 100m freestyle world champion prepares to return to the pool following admissions of Stilnox use and childish behaviour, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal that Magnussen turned to the Bulldogs to help rekindle his career.

Magnussen contacted the Bulldogs two months after his failed Olympic campaign, with Hasler telling him he needed to adjust his attitude.

Hasler suggested Magnussen should work with John Novak, the mind coach employed by the club.

“One of the biggest things to come out of this was there was no one to help him over there. There were no sports psychiatrists and he had limited support.”

“Anthony Nesty was brought up in a country whose population was a little over 350,000 and boasted just one 50-metre swimming pool. The lack of facilities and competition forced him to relocate to the United States where he trained at the University of Florida.”
