“Follow 7 year old Joseph on his journey as he learns to swim and be safe in the water, mentored by Olympian Cate Campbell and Paralympian Matt Cowdrey. In Australia, drowning remains one of the leading causes of preventable death in children. Unfortunately, while many children are learning valuable swimming and water safety skills, alarmingly thousands of children are still missing out, which is putting lives at risk. Swim kids Operation 10000 is a joint initiative of UNCLE TOBYS and Royal Life Saving Society – Australia, helping raise funds to provide FREE or subsidised swimming and water safety courses to 10000 kids who would otherwise miss out.”

Interesting interview here on SwimSwam with now former Danish head coach Paulus Wildeboer, following the criticism from Mads Glæsner, that Wildeboer should have ‘ruined his Olympics‘. Wildeboer disagrees, says Glæsner wasn’t prepared for altitude training, didn’t follow advice and therefore didn’t adapt properly.
Although Glaesner was unhappy with his training leading into the Olympics Wildeboer believes strongly that the program was correct, but the results depended upon how the individual athlete decided to follow it.
