Lochte also says why he swam in the Hudson River and plays an “Impossibly Random Questions” segment (below).

The boys ran out on a fish farm ring to run through the video that Jákup had just captured of the 2013 Seaman’s Day Swim in Klaksvík, Faroe Islands. We’re probably a bit too nonchalant around water, but there you go.

Multi-awarded swimmer Kosuke Kitajima shared his thoughts on Tokyo’s bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympics. The 30-year old athlete claims that it’d be a “dream come true” if Tokyo hosts the prestigious sports event following its loss to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 hosting. Born in Tokyo, Kitajima  believes that the public’s support this time will be favourable for the capital’s bid. “Of course I remember what happened last time, but I don’t think that the public had as much interest in the Olympics coming to Tokyo then as they do now,” he said.

Is Mark Foster one of your idols? On the 24th of August in Eton, West London you could race Mark Foster in a 1.25km open water swim. The aim of the race is to raise money for Level Water, a charity which provides free one to one swimming lessons for disabled children, until they can join mainstream classes.

Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington has said thieves broke into her home and stole her medals.

The gold medallist from the 2008 games in Beijing said on her Twitter page she was in “absolute pieces”.

In absolute pieces. Some bastards have broken into my house and stolen my Olympic medals!!! Something I will never be able to replace!

    — Rebecca Adlington (@BeckAdlington) August 19, 2013

Within hours of the theft the medals were discovered, but a car belonging to her partner is still missing.

Medals have been found. I’m so relieved. They’ve been in house and stolen Harry’s car and got keys. I’m just glad no one has got hurt.
