  • Giant Jellyfish Found By Divers In The UK

    A jellyfish filmed swimming off the coast of Cornwall is thought to be the biggest ever caught on camera in Britain. The four-foot wide barrel jellyfish, which is also known as the dustbin-lid jellyfish, was filmed by diver and archeologist Robert Lenfert. Robert, 42, and his wife Natasha, 39, met the giant creature off Pendennis Point, near Falmouth, Cornwall. The pair swam beside the giant sea beast for half an hour as it glided through the water.

    Some drowning incidents can be easily prevented, and a wearable device wants to keep tabs on submersion time while your kids are at the pool. The iSwimband is a Bluetooth-enabled sensor that syncs up with an iOS device to alert you when that little one has been under water for too long.

    Great job to everyone who competed in the 3rd annual OWS Fire Island Ocean Swim! It was a beautiful day with calm waters an a light breeze. Swimmers competed in either wetsuit or non-wetsuit divisions and swam either 1-mile, 5k, or 10k distances. The event was held at Atlantique on Fire Island by Open Water Swim LI.
