A HUGE HUGE thank you to Ben not only for filming this, but for being so generous with his creativity and also letting this live on my channel. It means so much to me and hope it makes you think about all the ways in which we can tend to the environments we love.

Despite strong cast, French comedy drama ‘Sink or Swim’ mainly does the former
Veering between sentimental and salty, philosophical and goofy, writer/director Gilles Lellouche’s Gallic stab at a “Full Montyâ€-style uplifter is too waterlogged with the genre’s well-worn staples (training comedy, bite-sized humiliations) and too uninterested in story/character details (turning paunchy mopers into athletic competitors) to offer anything truly refreshing about the solution to middle-aged dejection. The irony is that the men’s final performance at the championships in Norway is touching enough that the lack of attention to how these misfits could have realistically gotten there makes “Sink or Swim†all the more frustrating.

Old sports’ must adapt, says surf chief ahead of Olympics debut
As “cool†sports such as surfing, skateboarding and climbing prepare to make their Olympic debut in Tokyo, the president of surfing’s governing body has told Reuters that more traditional sports must adapt or face being dropped from the Games. […]
“The old sports need to adapt,†said Aguerre.
“(IOC) President (Thomas) Bach is very clear about that from the first speech he made when he accepted his election he said ‘change or be changed’.â€
“The evolution of the species is one of those that change… or the ones that didn’t change that are nowhere to be found.â€
