The home crowd definitely looking forward to the duel between Yuliya Efimova and Rikke Møller Pedersen in the women’s 200 breaststroke, the women’s 100 backstroke where youngster Mie Ø. Nielsen is the favorite, and to the 100 freestyle where Jeanette Ottesen will have to fight for a medal.
Men’s 50 backstroke
French swimmer Jeremy Stravius the quickest in 23.65, Italy’s Niccolo Bonacchi second in 23.66 and Belarus’ Pavel Sankovich third in 23.68. Danes absolutely rooting for Andreas Schiellerup who with a time of 24.09 bettered the Danish record, and with a 10th spot now has a good chance to reach the final, along with Faroe-born turned Dane Magnus Jákupsson in 24.27 and 14th. Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom ahead of home favorite Jeanette Ottesen, 25.45 to 25.47, the Nederlands’ Inge Dekker third in 25.62. Result list here.

Hungary’s David Verraszto quickest in 4:06.47, Germany’s Tim Wallburger second in 4:06.56, and Denmark’s Chris Christensen the third quickest in 4:07.65.
Women’s 100 individual medley
Hungary’s world record holder Katinka Hosszu way ahead in 58.39, Istrael’s Amit Ivri second fastest in 59.72 and Hungary’s Evelyn Verraszto third quickest in 1:00.09. Result list here.
