Michelle Coleman nippedÂ Sarah SjÃ¶strÃ¶m 52.33 to 52.47 after taking the race out hard with a time ofÂ 25.41 after the first 50. With them two already pre-selected, Louise Hansson and Magdalena Kuras also qualified for Herning 2013 with 53.50 and 54.25 respectively.

The Swedish championships web page states thatÂ Simon SjÃ¶din ‘had promised to loosen the handbrake’ in this last final, resulting in a new championship record of 4:12.20 in this event. Erik Persson and Linus Kanth also qualified for Herning 2013 with 4:13.73 and 4:14.19 respectively.
