The finishing line of the annual open water swim between Tórshavn and Nólsoy, the Gate of Honor made from the jaws of a whale, back in the 70s. The boat in the foreground is Ove Joensen’s Diana Victoria, at tradition Faroese boat he built and custom made to row the 900 nautical miles (1,700 km) from the Faroe Islands to Copenhagen in Denmark. After two unsuccessful attempts in 1984 and 1985, where he reached the Shetland Islands, he succeeded in 1986 after 41 days of rowing alone.
