Breaking: Japan to stage Tokyo Olympics without overseas spectators
The Japanese government has decided to exclude overseas spectators from attending this summer’s Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, officials with knowledge of the matter said Tuesday.
The government and the Japanese organizing committee of the Summer Games are expected to hold a remote meeting with the International Olympic Committee and two other bodies possibly next week to make a formal decision on the issue of overseas visitors.
The government has concluded that welcoming fans from abroad is not possible given concerns among the Japanese public over the coronavirus and the fact that more contagious variants have been detected in many countries, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Breaststroke Swimming Technique – Bora Hurst | The Race Club
16-year-old Bora Hurst and his teammates recently came to the Race Club in Islamorada for a swim camp. Bora’s goal this year is to break 1:00​ in the 100-yard breaststroke. After watching Bora swim the Race Club coaches worked on some changes to Bora’s Breaststroke and tested different swim techniques using our velocity meter technology. After analyzing the results, Coach Gary Sr had a video conference with Bora to go over the results. Freediving Under the Frozen Lake of France’s Tignes Resort
High up in the French #Alps​, #Tignes​ is one of #France​’s best known winter #resorts​. That’s of course thanks to its snow, but also a more unexpected asset: its water. At 2,100 metres above sea level, its frozen lake in winter attracts divers in search of chilly thrills. The lake results from the 1950s construction, lower down in the valley, of a gigantic 180-metre-high dam, the highest in France. This monumental project completely reshaped the region and the destiny of the village.
