    Improving wellness and wellbeing

There are many restoring qualities of being in or near water. Once you step into a loch or take a dip in the sea, not only does it feel chilling and refreshing, but it also helps reduce any feelings of stress and anxiety.

    Stunning locations to choose from

With an abundance of lochs, lagoons, coves, rivers, you will be spoiled for choice of the beautiful spots across Scotland for wild swimming.

If you braved the water outside of the comfort of a swimming pool before, you can try booking an organized wild swimming experience, or joining a wild swimming group.

Keeping yourself safe in the water

Whether you are an expert swimmer or a complete beginner, it is important to never swim alone, wear a swimming cap and have a brightly coloured safety float handy. This is so other people can see you when out in the water. Scottish Swimming shares some safety tips on what you should know before you get started.
