    Tatjana Schoenmaker, the current Women’s 200m Breaststroke world record holder, is looking to leave a mark beyond the pool.

    The 24-year-old South African who stormed to fame at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by winning Gold in the 200m breaststroke and Silver in the 100m breaststroke, is looking to use her glory to inspire her country’s young generation of swimmers.

    “I always felt like I wanted to give back, I think swimming is also not a very well-known sport, so I am not just targeting swimming but I’d love to just make a difference in someone’s life, let someone be able to achieve their dreams,” she said.

    Lilly King is the fastest woman in history over 50 (29.40) and 100 LCM Breaststroke (1:04.13). At the 2016 Olympics, her first international swim meet, she became Olympic Champion in the 100 Breaststroke and helped Team USA win the Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay. She won the 50 and 100 Breast at the 2017 World Champs. And yet again at 2019 World Champs. At the 2020 Olympics, Lilly earned 2x silver medals (200 Breast, 4×100 MR) and a Bronze (100 Breast).

    Swimming for Ray Looze at Indiana University, she won the 100 and 200 Breaststroke 4 years in a row at NCAA Championships. She still trains for Ray at IU but she performs for the Cali Condors of the ISL. She is skipping SC World Champs for the ISL this year.

    Tunisia’s 18-year-old Tokyo 2020 Olympics gold medalist in the men’s 400 meters freestyle has returned home and resumed training. Nobody was watching Ahmed Hafnaoui in lane eight of the Olympic pool but all eyes were definitely on the Tunisian teenager at the finish. Experts have hailed Hafnaoui’s great performance after he beat a field of faster and older swimmers.
