  • More than 150 students put underwater robots they designed to the test on Saturday. This was part of the annual “SeaPerch Challenge” at Jenks Aquatic Center.

  • Family members identified the victim as 30-year-old Shandell Harris.

  • Host side Olympiacos retained the Euro League trophy and became the seventh club in the competition’s history to win back-to-back titles. The Greeks outplayed 5-time champion Sabadell in the final, jumped to a three-goal lead early on, and maintained that gap till the end. This also completed a Greek double – four days after fellow Piraeus side Ethnikos won the LEN Trophy, Olympiacos claimed the Euro League victory, it’s the ninth time since 2000 that the winning clubs represent the same nation. Padova snatched the bronze with a magnificent 6-1 rush in the last period to achieve the best-ever result in the club’s history.

  • Manuel Añò is one of the few people in the world who can film while free diving under ice. This winter, he’s done about 60 dives in Quebec and Ontario, including dips in the St. Lawrence River. Añò collects samples for biologists who study certain lakes in Quebec. Together, they’ve made some surprising findings.

  • On this edition of Road Trippin’, the crew welcomes Ariana Kukors Smith to the show. She tells you what it’s like for her to root for transgender swimmers (including now NCAA Champion Lia Thomas) while at the same time feeling deep empathy for those women who are now losing to trans athletes. A former world record holder in the 200-meter individual medley, Ariana is one of the most accomplished female swimmers in the world.

    We have the tough conversation about what can/should be done at a legislative level if the NCAA will choose to be proactive in setting boundaries, the mental health aspect of women losing to transgender athletes…and also why we need to support trans athletes in following their dreams.

  • Lizzi Smith is a 2x Paralympian and 3x medalist from the United States. Most recently, at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic games, she captured silver in the 100 Fly (S9). Lizzi was born without her left arm due to amniotic band syndrome.

  • Commentator Sophie Corcoran says trans athletes should not be allowed to compete in women’s sports.

    “Every time a trans athlete wins, a woman loses.”
