Paramedics have rushed to a near drowning at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
A 5-year-old boy was pulled from the water, unresponsive by an off-duty paramedic and off-duty nurse. He was given CPR for 15 minutes which 7NEWS understands was successful.

Meet 64-year-old Steve Wargo. At his young age, Steve will be swimming 12 miles of Lake Erie later this summer for charity! His laps will benefit the City Mission, one of the biggest homeless shelters in Cleveland.
Steve will start his mission somewhere between July 29 and August 12, depending on water conditions. We got to talk to him about why this is important to him, and how he thinks it will go!
