Inside Edition interviewed customers across Maryland who say Catalina Pool Builders took their money for new pools and never finished the job. The families say they each paid tens of thousands of dollars for what was supposed to be a backyard paradise. After months of waiting and with no refund in sight, they now say their dreams of owning a pool are officially sunk. Catalina abruptly went out of business, blaming its problems on pandemic-related supply shortages and rising costs. The company and its owners do not face criminal charges but the state of Maryland revoked the pool company’s license after customers filed dozens of lawsuits.
We are so proud of Race Club swimmer Maggie MacNeil who won the 100-meter butterfly Olympic Gold in Tokyo. Maggie has been coming to the Race Club since she was a 13-year-old age group swimmer from Ontario, Canada. Through the years we have not been surprised with Maggie’s rise to the top from swimming at the University of Michigan to World and Olympic Champ! One thing that Maggie has always excelled at is her dolphin kick.
World Aquatics today announced the award of the World Aquatics Championships 2025 to Singapore. The World Aquatics Championships – the premier international aquatics event – brings together the six aquatic sports of swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming, open water swimming, and high diving. With dates to be defined, the 2025 event will be staged in close cooperation with the Singapore Swimming Association and Sport Singapore, a statutory board under the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth.
