Garrett Weber-Gale has found his old pals at Noma while in London, the three years in a row World’s No 1 restaurant having set up a “Taste of Noma” at the Claridge’s luxury hotel on Brook Street, Mayfair. And they are back to eating bugs again, no reason to change a winning recipe. Btw, don’t bother ordering, they are totally sold out.

Live ants I ate this morning for Taste of Noma. Taste like lemongrass. instagr.am/p/NloswEJ1Q7/

“Some people like to express their feelings in words,” Phelps said. “Some like to express them in action. I’ve always done that by swimming, and that’s how I’ll continue to do it.

“People can say and do whatever they want. That’s fine. I’ve gotten to where I am today by working hard, and I know that and Bob knows that. And nobody else thinks that, so it doesn’t matter. I’m very happy with my career and what I’ve done throughout it.”

Organizers are attempting to address complaints from swim coaches over excessive heat inside the Olympic Aquatics Centre. The unexpected heat wave affecting London this week has created a greenhouse effect that sent temperatures around the pool deck and in the stands soaring to more than 30 degrees Celsius (85 Fahrenheit). Organizers play it cool. Read Yahoo! Sports

Phelps wouldn’t take the bait when asked to respond to the menacing moniker applied to Australia’s heavily favored 4x100m freestyle relay team featuring James Magnussen, James Roberts, Eamon Sullivan and Matt Targett. Via news.com.au

“We take care of our own business,” an icy Phelps said. “If you get caught up in other people’s talking, and this and that, it just takes away from what we’re here to do. We’re here to swim and that’s it. We’re not gonna run our mouths. We never have. Our country has never done that.”

… and then he remembered Gary Hall Jr :-)
