A school of mullets passed and seemed to surround a beachgoer about 75 yards off shore in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Fortunately, he had his waterproof camera with him. Now, I think I would have hurried to get out of the water, because when fish behave like that, surely ‘something’ is chasing them :-)

Vega Expeditions – Skiing and Swimming on Svalbard
Did you know that local traveling regulations at Svalbard state that you must always have fireams and protection devices as hand, such as a big-game rifle and tripwire with flares for camping, due to the risk of meeting polar bears? So no skiing and swimming on Svalbard for me, thank you very much. Still beautiful, though.

Psy backs 14 El Monte lifeguards fired for making a “Gangnam Style” spoof
The 13 lifeguards and one pool manager fired over making a “Gangnam Style” spoof at El Monte city Aquatic Center in August are pleading to get their job back. The YouTube video with nearly 1.5 million views was made on their free time, but The Weekly has learned that the lifeguards were already in hot water, and the video was just the last nail in their coffin.
And here comes the awesome bit …
Psy, the South Korean pop star behind the hit, “Gangnam Style,” has asked that the guards be given their jobs back, and they have started a petition drive on Change.org that has has added up to nearly 13,000 supporters so far.
