Young guns Eyðbjørn Joensen, Óli Mortensen and Alvi Hjelm duking it out in the men’s 400 freestyle at the Ægir-meet in KlaksvÃk, 3 November 2012. They represent the three 25 meter pools on the Faroe Islands; Eyðbjørn from Suðuroyar Svimjifelag in Vágur, Suðuroy, Óli from Havnar Svimjifelag in Tórshavn, Streymoy and Alvi from Ægir in KlaksvÃk, Borðoy. Óli won this event in 3:58.88, Alvi second in 4:01.07 and Eyðbjørn third in 4:05.76, see result list here. All three will be representing the Faroe Islands for their first time at the Nordic Junior championships in Vaasa, Finland, December 2012.
Brazil’s Fabiola Molina and Australia’s Rachel Goh pretty happy with their efforts in the women’s 50 meter backstroke at the FINA / Arena Swimming World Cup 2012 in Berlin, Germany. Goh won in 26.80, Molina 3rd in 27.29, see result list here.
