Awesome proposal at the 2013 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Meet

(Hope I’m right about the meet, found some info here)

I proposed to my girlfriend of 3 years at her conference swim meet. We both swam for Pfeiffer University for 4 years and this was her final conference championship swim meet which was held at the Mecklenburg County Aquatics Center (MCAC pool) in downtown Charlotte, NC.

Valentines Day was just 2 days before the proposal and I couldn’t make it down there that night. So when I finally made it there on Saturday, she had it running through her head that this was a late Valentines Day “gift” from me. Until I walked out to meet her in the middle of the pool, she had no clue what was going on.

JACK BAKER: Eamon, youâ€™re back living in Perth and enjoying a year off competitive swimming, is Rio 2016 Olympics still in your sights?

EAMON SULLIVAN: Itâ€™s definitely on my list. I just had shoulder surgery in November last year and Iâ€™m a couple of days away from being able to get back into the water. Iâ€™m having the year just to refresh and get the body back to 100Â perÂ cent and Iâ€™ll start racing again towards the end of the year. The first race back will probably be at the Commonwealth Games trials but the main goal is getting to Rio.
