SwimOutlet.com introduced its latest interactive feature for customers called “What the Pros Wear”.  Building from their popular crowd-sourced “Style Showcase” launched in late spring, What the Pros Wear is a unique platform that allows visitors and swim fans to check out suits, gear and accessories worn by the world’s biggest swim stars.

Check out the latest Aqua Sphere goggles worn by Michael Phelps, see what TYR suit Megan Romano sports in training – or purchase the tech suit jammers Anthony Ervin prefers for competition.

What the Pros Wear uses creative and fun snapshots of the world’s best swimmers to promote the brands they endorse while curating a fun and unique storefront. It also gives the athletes a personality of their own on a page that emphasizes today’s word-of-mouth social media buzz. Each picture can be liked, shared, tweeted and pinned.

Updates and new photos will continue to be added throughout the year to What the Pros Wear.

To celebrate the launch of What the Pros Wear, SwimOutlet.com is partnering with Aqua Sphere to giveaway an autographed Michael Phelps swim cap.

To enter, fans simply need to provide their guess of what color Aqua Sphere K-180+ goggle Phelps will be wearing in 2015. There are three ways to enter with 1 entry per person on each: comment on SwimOutlet.com blog, post on Facebook.com/SwimOutlet or tweet your guess @swimoutlet

Swimming star Ross Murdoch received the fan mail from the mystery young fan after his gold medal win.

Murdoch then took to Twitter in an effort to track down the five-year-old, known only as Brian.

The 20-year-old Commonwealth gold medal winner called on his followers to help him trace the youngster to show him where he trains.

The young fan was later identified as Brian Fitzpatrick, from Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire.

On Friday, the youngster was introduced to his hero in a very special swimming lesson at Stirling University’s Swimming Academy.

After the pair raced, Murdoch tweeted: “Met Brian this afternoon. What a little dude! Had a blast and wish him all the best for the future.”

At 67 years old, grandmother Margot Anderson could be enjoying the quiet retired life at home in England.

Instead, she works a string of part-time jobs so she can afford to be standing at the foot of a pale blue glacier in Patagonia, about to jump into near-freezing water with 53 other extreme swimmers from around the world.

“If this is the last thing I do in life, I’ll go with fullness,” says Anderson, before plunging into the frigid water off Argentina’s Perito Moreno glacier.

On the morning before he was to report to the pool, Attis Clopton sat in a storefront breakfast spot near his Brooklyn apartment munching a glazed doughnut. He was worrying. It was a glorious day, blue sky and hot. The kind when they say the only sensible place to be is in the water.

But, please, let’s not go there.

As he imagined what lay ahead, his hands got clammy. He needed to think about something else — anything else.

    Anything but water.
