Olympics may let banned Russian track athletes compete anyway
Olympic leaders called for drug-testing of individual Russian and Kenyan athletes across all sports, warning Tuesday that evidence of inadequate doping controls in those countries could lead to more teams being barred from the Rio de Janeiro Games.
At the same time, the international sports officials also opened the door to some Russia track and field athletes competing under their own flag — not as neutral athletes — in Rio.

Two Australian Paralympic Team Members Robbed at Gunpoint in Rio

Two members of the Australian paralympic team are recovering after being robbed at gunpoint near their hotel in Rio. Alleged doping by Chinese, Russian swim teams investigated
The head of the World Anti-Doping Agency said it has started investigating allegations of doping by the Russian and Chinese swimming teams.
At a conference on Monday, WADA President Craig Reedie said it has “started inquiries into the suggestion of doping” by Russian and Chinese swimmers in conjunction with FINA.
Reedie noted “a wave of new troubling allegations” about doping at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, including the systemic manipulation of urine and blood samples.
He said WADA fully backed the decision last week to ban Russia’s athletics team from international competition.
