    Chad le Clos was the best male swimmer in Hangzhou by winning four medals in total. But Le Clos wasn’t only a star in the water, he was also awarded the “FINA Best Athlete Of The Year 2018” at the FINA Fala “Soirée des Etoiles, which took place in Hangzhou as well.

  • Japan Olympic swim hope Rikako Ikee diagnosed with leukaemia

    Japan swim queen Rikako Ikee, the poster girl for next year’s Tokyo Olympics, has been diagnosed with leukaemia, the 18-year-old tweeted on Tuesday (Feb 12).

    In a shock announcement, Ikee said: “After feeling unwell I returned in haste from Australia and following tests I was diagnosed with leukaemia. I still can’t believe it myself, I’m in a state of confusion.”

    This might be the reason that they call it #shark bay. Drone footage captured hundreds of sharks swimming along the coastline of Dirk Hartog Island in Western Australia. The island is located in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, a sanctuary stretching over more than 1,500 km of coastline.
