    In 2015, Chanel Miller attended a party at a fraternity house on the Stanford University campus. Chanel drank alcohol to the point of blacking out. She has no memory of any events past approximately 12:30 AM. Brock Turner, a Stanford student, was later charged with sexually assaulting Chanel while she lay unconscious.     Yuko Matsuzaki of Tokyo, the only Japanese Honor Swimmer in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, completed a Guinness World Record for the Longest continuous swim in a counter-current pool at Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach, California, U.S.A. from 8:00 am on Saturday, 5 October 2019 to 8:01 am on Sunday, 6 October 2019 under the observation of Shelley Taylor-Smith, Steven Munatones, and Chris Morgan of the World Open Water Swimming Association. Additional observers throughout the 24 hours included Chieko Smith, Josef Köberl, and Mark Lutz and the Endless Pool staff.
