Summary

A lot of happy qualifiers again tonight, many of them in their second, third or fourth event. Sarah Sjöström clocked 24.12 in the 50 free with Michelle Coleman chasing in 24.46.

Women’s 200 individual medley

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 2:11.70

Céline Betrand qualified for her third event at Herning 2013 with a winning time of 2:09.77 in tonight’s final, Elin Podéus second in 2:12.15 and Jacqueline Hippi in 2:16.39.

Men’s 200 freestyle

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 1:46.61

Mattias Carlsson is on fire these days, qualifying for first the Herning 2013 men’s 400 free on day one of these Swedish Champs with a winning time of 3:46.75, then with a 1:58.50 silver winning time in the 200 IM on day 2, and now with a winning time of 1:45.09 in the men’s 200 freestyle. Christoffer Carlsen was second in 1:46.69 and Robin Andréasson third in 1:47.34.

Women’s 50 freestyle

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 25.44

The Swedish 4×50 free relay looking promising with 4 swimmers qualified in the individual event, Already pre-selected Sarah Sjöström first in 24.12, Michelle Coleman second in 24.46, Magdalena Kuras third in 24.81and Josefin Lindkvist fourth in 24.97.

Men’s 50 breaststroke

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 27.57

Three Swedes under their qualification time for Herning 2013, Johannes Skagius first in 27.12, then Niklas Tour making this one with a time of 27.53 after just missing out in the 100 breaststroke the day before, and then Gulliver Koch third and on the Swedish roster for Herning 2013 with a time of 27.55.

Women’s 100 backstroke

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 1:00.46

Four of the finalists made the Swedish time standard for Herning 2013, several of them in their second event this evening, Michelle Coleman first in 57.83, then Magdalena Kuras second in 59.35, Therese Svendsen third in 59.73 and Ida Lindborg fourth in 59.73.

Men’s 200 backstroke

SWE Herning 2013 Time Standard 1:57.21

Axel Pettersson the single Swedish qualifier in this event, with a dominating winning time of 1:54.81, Mattias Carlsson second in 1:58.92 and Fabian Bergman third in 1:59.21.

Women’s 1500 freestyle

Not being a Herning 2013 event, this one was just for the Swedish championships honors, youngster Erica Dahlgren first in 16:45.51n, Laura Lajunen second in 16:52.14 and Alba Forés third in 17:00.04.
