The World Swimming Championships will be held on the 19th of July till the 4th of August 2013 in Barcelona. The World Swimming Championships are for the aquatic sports of diving, swimming, open water swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo. There will be 66 finals in total.
The Palau Sant Jordi will be the venue of all the sporting action, as it was in 2003, when Barcelona also hosted these championships. A 50-metre temporary pool will be installed inside this sports complex and host the swimming and synchronized swimming competitions.
The water polo competitions will be held at the Bernat Picornell swimming pools, the diving competitions will be held at the Montjuïc Municipal Pool and the open-water competitions at the Moll de la Fusta quay.
