  • Panama City Beach tickets 16 people for swimming during double red flags

    Since Monday, the City of Panama City Beach has ticketed a total of 16 people for swimming during red flag conditions.

    The city said that swimmers are initially warned to get out of the water and if they do not comply they receive a $500 ticket.

    The city said they want to remind both residents and tourists alike, that when the double red flags are flying, the Gulf of Mexico is closed for swimming.

This race continues to help more than 10,000 children learn, grow, and thrive at the Y. Participants swam their races in locations spanning the globe, from right here in Casco Bay to as far away as Okinawa, Japan! We can’t thank each one of you enough for sticking with us and working hard to ensure that this race continues to have a tremendous impact on kids, even when we can’t all be racing together in the same place.
