SWIM THE GOLD COAST is Australia’s newest Marathon Swim for teams and individuals. The course spans the length of the Gold Coast, from Coolangatta Beach in the South, to the iconic cityscape of Surfers Paradise in the North (21.5km). Entry options include Solo, Duo Teams and Teams of Four and we’ve scheduled the event in May – it’s an end of Summer goal for every swimmer and their mates.

‘It is the largest open water swimming event in Europe and it did take place this year despite the COVID: the 22nd edition of the Monte Cristo Challenge in the bay of Marseille brings together thousands of professional swimmers and amateurs. The bravest of them swam five kilometers without fins on Sunday morning from Chateau d’If to the mainland.’

Shelterbox Swimming Challenge | 24 Beaches, 24 Kms, 24 Hrs With Lauren Turner [Podcast]
In this week’s episode of the Propulsion Swimming Podcast, we talk to special guest Lauren Turner about her recent charity swim to raise money for Cornish charity Shelterbox. Lauren swam 1km at 24 different beaches around the South Coast of Cornwall all within 24 hours!!
We spoke to her about her journey through swimming, the difficulties in the building up to the challenge with swimming pools being closed through the summer, and the mental obstacles she had to overcome during the swim!!
