    You won’t see any cars in Toyota’s Super Bowl ad this year. 

    The automaker will air a 60-second spot titled “Upstream” in the second quarter of Sunday’s game to tell the story of Paralympic swimmer Jessica Long. The athlete is part of Team Toyota. The company said it wants to share an “uplifting message of hope and strength.”

    Extraordinary measures to fight Covid-19, including a ban on singing and chanting at events and a mask mandate for all participants, will be in place for the delayed Tokyo Games when they get underway in July 2021. Olympic organizing officials unveiled the rules on February 3, 2021, acknowledging that the Games this year will be “different” from any other past events. The Tokyo Olympics had been scheduled to take place in July and August 2020 but were postponed because of the global pandemic.
