    Mzansi’s top athletes turned up the tempo during the second day of the SA National Aquatic Championships taking place at the Newton Park Swimming Pool in Gqeberha. Two Olympic and two Paralympic qualification times were achieved during the second day of the 2021 SA National Aquatic Championships. Chad le Clos and 17 year-old Ethan du Preez in the 200m butterfly event and in the multi-disability section, Kat Swanepoel set a new South African record in the 100m backstroke and achieved the qualification standard. The other qualifier was Christian Sadie in the S7 category for the 100m backstroke.
