In this video, we take a look at Michael Andrews’ 200m IM at the US Olympic Trials. It has been debated ever since the swim whether it was a good race or bad one, that’s why we thought we’d break it down length by length, stroke by stroke, and give you our race review!!

Michael Andrew’s Olympic Trials got off to a brilliant start by qualifying for his first Olympic Games in the 100m Breaststroke in a new American Record and he followed that up with this performance in the 200 IM.

In this new type of video from Propulsion Swimming, we go through Michael Andrew’s 200m Individual Medley from the USA Swimming Olympic Trials 2021 where he was way ahead of the World Record at the 150m mark. So far in fact, that he was over a second faster than Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps were when they were at their peak before the freestyle leg of the race.

Lewis Pugh has 10 seconds before he plunges into the freezing Arctic Ocean, where he swims a kilometre across Antarctica, wearing nothing but a Speedo and a swim cap, a feat never thought possible. ‘Ordinary’ humans would probably die within minutes in this icy water! How can his naked body cope with these conditions for so long? And why on earth would anyone want to do such a crazy thing?
