2-Year-Old Phoenix Boy Who Almost Drowned Now in Swim Lessons | AZFamily
Three months after his nearly drowning in his backyard pool, 2-year-old Justin Lopez is learning how to swim. His parents found him floating face down in the family’s backyard pool near 35th Ave. and Peoria in Phoenix back in April. Justin’s mom, Erica Alvarez started CPR before first responders arrived. The unconscious toddler was rushed to the hospital. He had no pulse and was not breathing. Alvarez wasn’t sure he would survive. It all happened so fast. Alvarez was in the living room and thought Justin was with his dad. Dad went to the restroom and when he came out, they noticed the patio door open. (Sponsored by Leslie’s Pool Supplies)
