    American Katie Zaferes won bronze in women’s triathlon amid rainy conditions Tuesday morning at Tokyo’s Odaiba Marine Park. The American triathlete finished third with a time of 1:57:03.

    Alaskan teen Lydia Jacoby pulled off a shocking upset in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke, becoming the first American woman to win gold in swimming in these Olympics. Jacoby, 17, won with a time of 1:04.95.
