Free Swimming Lessons Offered for Cedar River Academy 2nd Graders | The Gazette
Through a partnership with Cedar Rapids Parks and Rec and the Parks, Waterways and Recreation Commission, all Cedar River Academy 2nd graders will learn to swim for free. This four-week program includes eight lessons at Bender Pool and a swimsuit. Kids will participate in swim lessons during their school day from April 4 to 27.

A woman has been mauled by a shark while snorkelling with the animals in the Maldives, with the shocking incident captured on camera.
The video was recorded by freediver and underwater photographer Ibrahim Shafeeg, 37, from the Maldives who videoed his friend, 30-year-old nurse Carmen Canovas Cervello, as she swam in the clear water surrounded by sharks.
