    On this first day of the 2012 FINA World Cup circuit, Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu bagged $5,000 in prize money, winning the women’s 800 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 200 IM. Most winning male swimmer was Japan’s Daiya Seto, collecting $3,500 by winning the 400 IM and being second in the 200 butterfly and 200 breaststroke.     Melanie Olhaus secured a date with Chad Le Clos after bunking off school earlier this year to greet the South African Olympic team as they returned home. At the airport, Melanie, 17, held up a sign asking ‘Chad will you be my matric dance date?’ And, after spotting the sign, the 20-year-old swimmer agreed. Awesome.
