A very special moment at the FINA / Arena 2012 World Cup meet in Berlin, Germany, last weekend, when the French Olympic champion Camille Muffat charged ahead in the women’s 400 freestyle, splitting repeatedly under world record pace, until she just missed it by 1 hundredth of a second. The start of the men’s 50 backstroke final at the LEN 2008 European Short Course Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. Notice the two men without tech suits on lane 2 and 7. If I’m not very much mistaken, they were Germany’s Helge Meeuw (on lane 2) and Thomas Rupprath (on lane 7), opting to swim in ‘banana hammocks’ rather than the brand of ‘supersuits’ that they otherwise had to wear because of the German swimming federation’s sponsor obligations.

Channing Crowder saw Michael Phelps smoke weed 3 weeks before getting caught
According to Channing Crowder, former Miami Dolphins linebacker and current co-host on “The Jorge Sedano Show†on 560 WQAM in Miami, he saw him smoke some weed three weeks prior to being caught taking a hit from a bong. “When I left Florida, Ryan Lochte was younger than me so he had to be a new freshman,†Crowder said. “And he walked around with his hippie long blond hair and he smoked weed all the time. That’s what Ryan Lochte was. The first time I saw him was in the Olympic Trials and he had the Gator (swim cap) on and I didn’t know the name Ryan Lochte — I remembered the face. And I was like, ‘Oh it’s a Gator in the Olympics.’ I looked and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s the little hippie pothead boy that was a freshman when I was there.’â€

Rick Curl faces Maryland, possible Virginia arrest warrant
The State of Maryland has obtained an arrest warrant for Rick Curl for the crimes he committed against Kelley Currin, law enforcement sources today told ConcussionInc.net.
In addition, prosecutors in Fairfax County, Virginia, are considering whether to act on the results of its own criminal investigation. The evidence includes a confession letter written by Curl in 1987.
