Fans of Ryan Lochte, the Olympic swimmer, will be glad to know that he’s back to training more and working the red carpet fashionista circuit less, but he’s excited that he’ll be coming real soon in his latest Hard-Core video. That should go over well with all fans whether they like to work or just watch their idols getting sweaty doing it for them.

Great news for especially iOS users, all 16 FINA / Arena 2012 World Cup final sessions will be streamed live on FINA TV, starting with the Dubai leg on Tuesday 2 October and ending in Singapore on Sunday 11 November, available also on your iPhone/iPad by using the free Live+ app from Digotel, with live timing service on Omega Timing. The schedule warns that ‘geographic restrictions may apply due to broadcasting rights’, and they’ll probably again this year delay the sessions until after the 800/1500, but it is sure better than nothing :-)

I’m working on preparing our LIVE page with all relevant links

The FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup 2012 will take place in the following cities:

    • 2-3 Oct 2012 – Dubai (UAE)

    • 13-14 Oct 2012 – Stockholm (SWE)
    • 17-18 Oct 2012 – Moscow (RUS)

Breaking news from my good friend Jesper Harder at Herning Svømmeklub, LEN has awarded Denmark and the Danish city of Herning the 2013 European Short Course Swimming Championships, to be held in the Jyske Bank Boxen multiarena. Here is a photo of ‘The Box’, taken when Jesper drove me from Holstebro til Billund Airport after the 2012 Aqua Clinic. I’ll post it as tomorrow’s CC photo already today :-)

On a beautiful and sunny Saturday, 164 runners from 9 countries competed against each other trying to conquer the famous ski jump in Planica. The hardest 400 m run was won by the Turk Arslan Ahmet in the men category (5:02:53), and by the Austrian Teresa Stadlober in the women category (6:46:44).
