    The Coney Island Polar Bears Club held it’s annual New Year’s Day Swim.More than 2000 swimmers dove head first into icy freezing water of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s tradition that goes 110 years.Love crazy people of New York.Temperature is 28 F , or t.-2C.

    On December 29, 2012, Gary Sredzienski of Kittery, Maine, swam 3.75 miles in 36 degree water to raise funds for the Center for Wildlife in York, Maine.
