I guess it could be used for all kinds of things, like (as planned) ocean monitoring, sea-sickening underwater footage, or just to make us pee even more in the pool. See Engadget

At the Danish Open/Trials yesterday evening, Rikke Møller Pedersen managed a world’s best this year in the women’s 100 breaststroke, clocking 1:06.40 ahead of Sweden’s Joline Höstman in 1:09.30. ‘Our guy’ Pál Joensen cruised to a 8:07.21 win in the men’s 800 freestyle, which according to the commenters on DR was the 10th best time in the world this year. Lotte Friis won the women’s 800 freestyle in 8:25.29, Jeanette Ottesen Gray won the women’s 50 butterfly in 25.99, Søren Dahl the men’s 50 butterfly in 24.66. It was a night of near-misses also, Joachim Mortensen trying for his 1:02.76 Danish junior record in the men’s 100 breaststroke but fading to a 1:03.19 win, and Viktor B. Bromer trying to beat Benny Nielsens 9342 day old Danish 1:57.74 record in the men’s 200 butterfly, giving it a good try but just missing out in 1:58.29. Sweden’s Martina Granström won the women’s 200 butterfly in 2:11.84 and Magnus Westermann the men’s 100 freestyle in a new Danish junior record of 50.23, while Pernille Blume missed out on the harsh Danish Barcelona 2013 qualification time standards with a 55.43 win in the women’s 100 freestyle. Mie Ø. Nielsen clocked 1:00.56 in the women’s 100 backstroke semi-final ahead of Iceland’s Eygló Ósk Gústafsdóttir’s Icelandic record-setting 1:02.19. I’m sure I’ve missed a lot of other good results, see them all here on livetiming.dk.
