The good people at wiggle have provided me with a dhb wetsuit for open water swimming and triathlon. So it looks like I will have to suit up now on holiday in Sweden, and maybe even upon return to the Faroe Isles ! ;-)

This tiny underwater breathing device is one of the coolest we have seen – and you can make it yourself!

This small device uses a water nebuliser – also known as a water mister – as the core of the apparatus.

It’s essentially a hand-held pump, which you normally use to pressurise water enough for it to spray on your face as a mist.

Irish-Australian surfer Mick Fanning survived a shark attack in Sunday’s final of the World Surfing League’s J-Bay Open, fighting off the circling predator with his fists.

Fanning, three-times world surfing champion, was paddling out to ride his first wave when the unidentified species of shark surfaced next to him, knocking the 34-year-old off his board.

The surfer managed to fight off the predator, hitting it on its back before it swam off, leaving him shaken as he waited for a support boat to return him safely to shore.
