Hong Kong cross-harbour swim 2018: 3,600 take to the water
About 3,600 swimmers took part in Hong Kong’s annual cross-harbour swimming race as it returned to the heart of the city for a second time – continuing last year’s route change to commemorate the iconic event. The 1km route runs from Tsim Sha Tsui public ferry pier to Golden Bauhinia Square pier in Wan Chai.

Oman’s first female Olympic swimmer makes history
Oman’s Lara Al Yafei has made history by becoming the first Omani female swimmer to represent her country at an Olympics event.
The 16-year-old represented Oman at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She finished third among eight competitors in the opening heat of the 50 m breast stroke competition with a personal best of 37.35 seconds.
