Maitland police released terrifying video Thursday showing the moment a 3-year-old boy went underwater for more than two minutes.
Officers said the boy nearly drowned, even though four swim instructors were nearby.
One instructor, 34-year-old Jessica Kretz, is now facing charges.

Yes, there is a “p” in the word pool. But that doesn’t mean there should be pee in the pool. A swimming pool is not a toilet. Toilets typically do not have other people swimming in it. If there is a person in your toilet, you may want to call a plumber or the police.
Yet, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) still felt compelled to tweet the following plea about pee:

Out to Swim South was established in 2006 as part of the main London aquatic group. They are a group of sociable LGBTQ+ and allies who swim for fun, fitness or competitions. Mark Walker sat down with some members to find out more.
What to do if you’re scared or nervous about your first open water swim:
💧 do not make your first open water swim a race
💧 ease yourself into the water
💧 have a mantra
💧 expect the open water to feel VERY different from the pool
💧 have a consistent breathing pattern/routine to stay calm and cool
💧 your wetsuit is your friend
From the 30th May to 2nd June 2019, some of the world’s finest Para swimmers will go to Lignano, Italy to compete in the World Para Swimming World Series.
Lignano Sabbiadoro, the Italian city, returns as a World Series host for the second season running following a successful debut in 2018. The picturesque venue by the sea features not one, but two swimming pools, where more than 260 swimmers from 31 countries competed in the 2018 edition.
