Some states are now allowing public pools to reopen, but many people dove into buying pools for their homes during stay-at-home orders.
The rush of orders for backyard pools when the pandemic hit led to backlog.
The Donohoe family in New York got a new pool finished just in time for the hot weather.

Christopher Lombardo from Allstar Swimming Pools in New York says the demand continues.
“We get about, I would say about 30 to 40 calls every day,†he says.
In Massachusetts, Easton Pool & Spa has seen business explode.
Company owner Dave Hobaica says, “A lot of people are really hurting out there, but we’re in a, just happen to be in a sweet spot right now.â€

Twin Falls man missing after plans to swim near Pillar Falls
A Twin Falls man well known in the local BASE jumping community has gone missing, friends say.
Austin Carey was last seen Thursday afternoon. Friends said he was planning to swim across the Snake River near Pillar Falls.
Search and rescue searched the area above and in the canyon. Searchers have asked that no one try to search the site to avoid anyone getting injured.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Jerome County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris McRoberts at 208-308-4138.

Teen suffers shark bite swimming on the Outer Banks
A 16-year-old boy suffered a non-life-threatening injury Thursday from a shark off Cape Hatteras National Seashore on North Carolina’s Outer Banks.
The bite occurred about 4 p.m. Local authorities notified Cape Hatteras National Seashore park rangers that the teen from Oak Ridge, N.C. was being treated at a medical facility in Nags Head for an apparent shark bite injury. The bite occurred in the ocean near Ramp 25, 2.5 miles south of the village of Salvo on Hatteras Island.
A park ranger drove to the medical facility and interviewed the family of the injured teen, who reported that the incident occurred approximately 25 feet offshore while the 16-year-old was jumping over waves on a sandbar.
The boy was treated for his injury and released from the medical facility Thursday evening.
