13-year-old boy becomes youngest person to complete ‘Godfather’ swim across Lake Tahoe
A 13-year-old boy from Los Banos, California has become the youngest person to complete what’s known as the “Godfather” swim across Lake Tahoe.
James Savage completed the 12-mile swim in less than seven hours.
“We still say that every day, ‘He did what?’ That seems like a daily occurrence with him,” mother Jillian Savage said. “He did what?”
The teen swam the true-width of Lake Tahoe last week from Cave Rock to the Grand Avenue Dock near Florida Lock on the West Shore.
