Hackett denies that his apartment was trashed

According to Grant Hackett himself, he was sorting out “private issues” with his wife when police swarmed his apartment at the weekend, according to the first sources ‘to find it in disarray’. Read The Telegraph via Gold Medal Mel

“We came home and had a few private issues that we needed to deal with and we’ve dealt with those.

“Candice is 100 per cent OK, our apartment is 100 per cent OK and so are our twins. It’s all a bit of a misunderstanding that we have to deal with.”

Exciting stuff in American/Japanese, still think it would have gotten into problems if there was a decent current against it. Was that a whale jumping at the turn buoy? The robots completed the full Ironman challenge 2011 in only 166 hours 57 minutes, with the 2.4-miles (3.86 km) swim taking a little over 5 hours.

On October 8 at Lake Lanier Islands resort just outside of Atlanta, Ga., Eric Shanteau held his second Swim For Your Life event, benefiting Lance Armstrong’s cancer charity LIVESTRONG. Participants including Shantau himself, Aaron Peirsol, Katie Hoff, Kathleen Hersey, Mark Gangloff, Amanda Wier and Tyler McGill could choose between a 500 yard, one mile og 5 K open water race. And the water was cold :-)

According to the Herald Sun, up to 8 police cars were called to the apartment of Olympic legend Grant Hackett in the early hours of Sunday morning, to find the apartment in total disarray, including a grand piano overturned. Read more here on the Herald Sun.

As the boat busted through the lake water, the second wave turned out to be a doozy.

So much so, it would change the next three months of Morgan Whyteâ€™s life.

â€œWe hit the second wave and I twisted backward, still holding onto the thing (tube),â€ Whyte said. â€œI kind of got whipped off. I didnâ€™t feel anything.

â€œPeople ask me if I heard it crack or anything. I didnâ€™t hear anything. I thought it was fine, then I looked at my (right) arm and it was moving back and forth. You could see the broken bones (pushing at the skin). It was gross.â€
