Upon the success of the single seat AS1 model, American company Aqua Star has created a two person underwater scooter, the AS2, allowing couples to share the underwater experience together. Both riders are free to dismount, swim around and climb back aboard, sharing air from scuba tanks in the diving helmet. Maybe an idea for the head coach to take his apprentice with him into the pool during technique practices? :-P

Check out the incredibly sweet AS1 too :-)

Eamon Sullivan has quit the Asian leg of the FINA World Cup series as a precautionary measure after suffering a mystery illness. He was floored by the bug with flu and gastrolike symptoms for six days during the World Cup meet in Moscow two weeks ago, finished sixth in the 50m freestyle final last night, and leaves Singapore for home today.

“I always had a changeable ticket. With everything that’s happened in the past I always kind of cover my bases”

“I was feeling good today and didn’t swim that great so obviously something’s just a bit off and I think it will be a lot more beneficial for me going home and getting back into training than toughing it out for two more weeks.”

Imágenes del príncipe Alberto de Mónaco y Charlene WittstockPrincess Charlene of Monaco has broken her silence to deny reports that she was a reluctant, almost runaway bride in the run-up to her marriage to Prince Albert four months ago. The South African former Olympic swimmer, dismissed as “hilarious” rumours that she tried to buy a one-way ticket home to Johannesburg two days before the ceremony. At her husband’s side for their first joint television interview since the £50m wedding, she said: “Why would he go through all this effort to have our… dearest friends come join us, for us to be reluctant?”
